Summer is finally here and this month's newsletter touches on three key parts of the season as it relates to food: ice cream, beach snacks and important information about the Summer Food Service Program for kids. Enjoy!

July is National Ice Cream Month

We all scream for ice cream!

Ice cream is a summertime staple. New England has so many amazing ice cream shops and sundae bars that it can be hard to narrow it down. We've pulled together a list of the most highly rated and raved about ice cream parlors in New England and put it in one place for you! Dive in and plan your next cool getaway!

Stop Hunger with Summer Meals

Hunger doesn't take a summer vacation! When school is out, kids still need to eat and might not have access to the same healthy breakfast and lunch meals they had in school. USDA's Summer Food Service Program is free for kids 18 years and under, so find the local program in your community.
